Australia’s Perth Mint has created a unique coin as a gift to commemorate the birth of a new family member. The coin’s design is inspired by Australian flora and fauna, and its reverse features three small animals: a baby emu, a kangaroo and a koala bear, pictured celebrating the birth. The coin is sold packaged in a decorative coincard protective blister with birthday motifs, which makes an elegant gift package.

On the reverse of the coin we see colorful likenesses of three animals, each wearing a pointy party cap. Standing in the middle is a koala bear holding a colorful cake with candles in its paws. At the very bottom is the inscription , while the upper part shows the year of issue, the weight of the coin and the silver proof designation. The obverse of the coin shows a portrait of King Charles III and information about the coin’s weight (1/2 ounce) and denomination (50 Australian dollars).
