Description
The Silver Coin Koala from 2025 is the 19th coin in the Australian Koala series. The Australian Koala coins have been produced since 2007. Importantly, the coin design changes annually, making them particularly recommended for collectors.
The bullion coin depicting a koala is struck from pure silver with a fineness of Ag.9999, weighing one troy ounce and with a diameter of 40.9 mm. The 2025 Koala also has an additional collector’s appeal due to its limited mintage.
The Australian Koala is produced by the oldest Australian mint, The Perth Mint. In addition to its great collector’s potential, the Koala is guaranteed by the Australian government and is legal tender in the issuing country.
Obverse of the silver coin features the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain, designed by Dan Thorne. It also includes information on the coin’s face value.
Reverse shows the image of an adult koala. The reverse also includes the coin’s weight, fineness, year of production, and the inscription “KOALA,” along with the letter “P,” indicating The Perth Mint as the producer.
