In traditional Chinese iconography, the dragon is often depicted as a long serpent with a mane on its head and bird-like wings, although different variations may vary in detail. In Chinese mythology, the dragon is considered the protector of rivers, lakes and springs, which is particularly important in China’s agrarian culture, where water was a key factor in the fertility of crops.
The reverse of the silver ingot coin shows us a Chinese dragon hovering in the air. Around him we see clouds, and slightly to the right of the dragon’s silhouette there is a flaming pearl .
