- Reverse: A representation of the Kingston, a merchant ship carrying valuable cargo, which was captured by John “Calico Jack” Rackham and crew. Calico Jack was known for having female pirates in his crew, including his lover, Anne Bonny. The pair sailed and pillaged their way through the Caribbean. The Kingston is shown ominously creeping towards the tropical coastline as the Jolly Roger flag ripples in the wind overhead. The motif of a skull is formed in the horizon. The design also features the words “THE KINGSTON,” “BLACK FLAG: CALICO JACK & ANNE BONNY,” the weight, fineness, and The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mint mark.
