1 oz Nautical Ounce: Mayflower 2020 Rwanda

The series is dedicated to ships that made a significant mark in the history of mankind by safely delivering their passengers to distant destinations. To date, three Nautical Ounce coins have already been released, and the Mayflower is the fourth. The ship is one of the cultural symbols of modern America – in 1620 it reached its shores having on board the first settlers of the “New World”, brought from England.

The reverse of the medal is distinguished by the unique graphic design for which the entire Nautical Ounce series is famous. It depicts in detail the Mayflower ship under full sails with a wind rose next to it. Around it were placed such information as the name of the series, the year of issue, or the weight and sample of silver. The obverse of the coin is decorated with Rwanda’s coat of arms. The coin is the country’s official legal tender and has a denomination of 50 francs.
