Commissioned by Henry VIII to represent his ancestry, ten royal beasts stand guard along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace. Symbolising the strength of the Tudor dynasty, these iconic statues have been reimagined for The Royal Tudor Beasts Collection. The eighth bullion coin in the collection features the Queen’s Lion, skilfully rendered by David Lawerence. Powerful and protective, this magnificent creature is set against a backdrop that evokes the splendour of the Tudor era, enhanced with surface animation for added security and visual depth.
The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. Struck in 999.9 fine silver to Bullion standard, the coin is also available as a 2oz silver edition as well as in platinum and fine gold editions.
