Description
Released by the Republic of Djibouti, a nation located on the Horn of Africa along the Red Sea South of Egypt, to create this fascinating masterpiece, a State-of-the-Art five-piece die setup and special bands were used to strike each side multiple times with equal pressure.
Then, the entire coin was given an antiqued finish giving the piece an appearance of age, perfectly matching it with its ancient Egyptian theme. — a painstaking process normally done by hand, with no two pieces being exactly alike.
The Reverse of the 250 Francs Silver intricate pyramid-shaped coin beautifully recreates the pyramid built for Khafre, son of Khufu, right down to the gold plating for the cap of the pyramid.
Additional images have been struck into each side, including Pharaoh Khafre himself, the Great Sphinx, the Sun God Ra and the God of Death, Anubis
The Obverse of the 250 Francs Silver Pyramidical shaped Coin depicts the Coat of Arms/Emblem of Djibouti
